3 Day Sample Sale for Charity: Sept 24-26

You need new clothes, but your wallet tells you "No!". Well, there is a huge sample sale coming up that will go easy on your wallet and help feed your soul as well!

A Miner Miracle Shop
(I've blogged about them before - see end of post for more info) will be hosting San Francisco's biggest three-day sample sale fundraiser in September. With over 5,000 square feet of space to shop and merchandise restocked every hour, this is likely going to be the sample sale of the season. I've been told to expect over 5,000 new items from designers such as Calvin Klein, Paper Denim & Cloth, DKNY, Joan Vass and Ann Taylor all marked down 80% below retail priced.

Location: 441 Sutter Street (btw Stockton & Powell) 415-398-2155

When: 10am-6pm; Thurs. Sept. 24 – Sat. Sept.26

100% of the proceeds benefit A Miner Miracle a San Francisco-based non-profit that provides professional clothing and image counseling to low-income men, women and young adults seeking employment.

Dress Yourself and Get A Free Gift at A Miner Miracle Shop

A Miner Miracle Shop (I've blogged about this amazing store before) is having a Mother's Day Promotion. If you are a mother, or you have a mother, you qualify! Simply spend $100 in the store between now and mother's day (its coming up!) and you will receive a free gift (currently, the gift is a really lovely watch that can be a gift to yourself or for a mom in your life). Tell them you heard about it here!

Now, if you have not been to A Miner Miracle Shop, you might not know the following:

1. $100 will get you a lot! The s
tore carries new in season brand name clothes at 50-80% off retail, every day. They restock all the time. This week when I was there they had received a shipment from Eileen Fisher as well as their daily Ann Taylor loot. I also spied an Anthropologie top and a Banana one too. Last week I spent $91 and got a pair of pants, a top, a great black swing jacket, and a pair of earrings. I keep going back because I can never believe the bargains will still be there (and because every time I go they have new things there)

2. You are supporting a local charity! ALL proceeds from the store support a Miner Miracle's programs that provide clothing and image consulting to low income men and women seeking employment.
You can dress yourself as well as someone else who can not afford to do so. How great is that.

3. It is super easy to get to, as it is located in the ground floor of the parking garage on 5th & Mission. When I went on Tuesday it was raining, but I did not even get wet. I went from car to store back to car. easy. You can also take Bart - only 1 block from Powell St. Station.

$150 MAY get you a $2.4mil House In SF

I know, this is hardly a bargain, but if you won it sure would be. I'm a sucker for the lottery, raffles, scratchers, you name it. I fully subscribe to the "you gotta be in it to win it" mentality. All you need is a dollar and a dream.... well, in this case $150 and a dream.
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts is holding a San Francisco Dream House raffle.

A $150 raffle ticket buys a chance to win a magnificent $2.4 million San Francisco home (or choose $1.8 million in cash). They have a bunch of other prizes and early bird drawings as well (buy your ticket by April 3 and you are entered into the first early bird drawing as well as all subsequent drawings). I think there are 3 early bird drawing before the house drawing.

You can see pictures of the house and enter here: www.sfraffle.com.

When they ask you how you heard about the raffle, please mention my name (jennifer storey).

Good luck!

A Miner Miracle Shop (5th & Mission)

Ever since I found this store, I have been telling literally everyone I know about it.

A Miner Miracle Shop is a woman's clothing boutique downtown that sells name brand clothes (think Michael Kors, DKNY, Ann Taylor, Lucy) at 50-90% off retails. Hello??? I got a super soft Michale Kors winter coat for $59. I got a an Ann Taylor cashmere hoodie and a nice "work" shirt. All three of the items set me back less than $100. The coat alone sells for $300 in Bloomingdales across the street. The store is not huge, but everything in there is top quality. No junk to sort through. Everything is in season, names you know and the best value ever.
Now, as if that was not enough, here is where I fell in love: Every penny the store makes supports A Miner Miracle's programs that offer clothing and image consulting to low income men and women seeking employment. Its a total win win. I get a good deal on great clothes AND I am giving to charity! Its a no brainer.

Miner Miracle SHOP is conveniently located near Union Square, across from the Westfield Shopping Center. 899 Mission Street at 5th Street (Ground floor of the garage at 5th and Mission - and 1 block from Powell street BART) Open Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (415) 543-0293.
